Felix Kuhnke, M.Sc.
Felix Kuhnke left the Institut für Informationsverabeitung.
Publications and research activities from the time after the departure are not listed here.

Felix Kuhnke studied Media Technology at Technische Universität Ilmenau with a focus on Signal Processing. He wrote his master's thesis on real-time audio processing algorithms for cochlear implants at the Fraunhofer Institut for Digital Media Technology and received his master's degree in 2014. Since May 2015 he is working as a research assistant at the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung (TNT) at Leibniz Universität Hannover.

In October 2017 he became the senior engineer ("Oberingenieur") of the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung, being responsible for internal and external representation of the institute (students, academic and industrial guests) as well as administrative and organizational tasks.

His main research area was analysis and synthesis of human faces, virtual avatars, and domain adaptation. In the FG2020 Affective Behavior Analysis in-the-wild (ABAW) competition, he and his colleagues won the 1st place for emotion recognition. The title of his dissertation is "Unsupervised Domain Adaptation for Real-World Head Pose Estimation from Synthetic Data".

His work also focused on application-related topics of computer vision for automated testing scenarios.

Research Interests:
