Quantum Information Processing

Background

With the development of new quantum computing technologies it has become increasingly important to determine the information processing capabilities of quantum systems. A fundamental toolset in this area is that of quantum information theory. Not unlike classical information theory, it provides us with information measures that can help us to track the flow of information in quantum systems. In particular, with the always present noise in current systems, a focus is on the dercease in information during noisy operations.
