Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Math. techn. Aron Sommer
Aron Sommer left the Institut für Informationsverabeitung.
Publications and research activities from the time after the departure are not listed here.

Aron Sommer studied Technomathematics with technical background in Communications Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). His Diploma Thesis is entitled "Passive Erdölexploration aus der Luft" and deals with theory and numerics of a linear inverse problem. Since August of 2013 he is working on the SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) project towards a PhD degree at the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung (TNT) at Leibniz Universität Hannover.

Office hour for students: Wednesday, 11 - 12 am

Current Projects

Research Interests

I am interested in the entire process chain from circuit design and evaluation of raw data to complex mathematical evaluation algorithms of any sensors, for example in automotive applications. Detailed interests are:
  • Synthetic Aperture Radar
  • Automotive Radar
  • Low-Cost Radar Sensors
  • Inverse Problems
  • Statistics
  • Ground Moving Object Indication in SAR
  • Mathematical Modeling

Visualization of Scientific Data

Mobile devices like the Apple iPad allow information to be available anywhere and anytime. Additional, digital media help in interpreting scientific results. Thats why the above paper "Visualization of Lithosphere Subduction" is published in the form of an interactive iBook at the iBookstore.
