Mianshu Chen studied Communications and Information Systems at Jilin University, China. He received his master degree and phD degree from Jilin University in 1999 and 2004, respectively. From 2004, he works in the School of Communication Engineering, Jilin University. Now he is a visiting scholar at the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung of the University of Hannover. His research interests are image retrieval and recognition.
