Ralf Dragon left the Institut für Informationsverabeitung.
Publications and research activities from the time after the departure are not listed here.

Ralf Dragon studied Electrical Engineering with a focus on information processing at the Leibniz Universität Hannover, starting in 2001. In 2005, he wrote his study thesis 'Appearance-Based Facial Motion Analysis for Model-Based Coding' during a stay in Sweden at the Institutionen för Systemteknik, University of Linköping. His diploma thesis 'Kamerakalibrierung mit beweglichen Kalibriermustern' ('Camera Calibration with Movable Calibration Patterns') at the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung dealt with a new method of lens undistortion. It got the VDE study award 2006 of the VDE Hannover. Ralf Dragon received his Dipl.-Ing. degree with distinction in 2006. Since 2007 he has been working towards a PhD degree at the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung.

Other activities
  • During my student time, I developed Lam4HTK, which is a speech aligner that uses HTK as backend. It consists of a bunch of scripts (including a manual how to use them, create it with 'latex lam4htk') and a prototype.
  • Teaching assistant of lecture Pattern Recognition. I give an introduction into Matlab and use it for demonstration of different procedures of pattern recognition.
  • Former tutor of students project "Videoauswertung zu Überwachungszwecken". In this project, C/C++ and OpenCV are used to find solutions for surveillance tasks with a static camera observing a scene with moving objects.
