Patrick Mikulastik received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in 2002 from the
University of Hannover, Germany. From 1998-1999 he was studying as an
integrated exchange student at the University of Limerick, Ireland. He
wrote his Studienarbeit (thesis) 'Estimation of mosaic images from
image sequences' and his diploma thesis 'Reconstruction of 3D scenes
from image sequences with known camera parameters' at the
Institut für
Informationsverarbeitung of the University of Hannover.
Since 2002 he is with the
Information Technology
Laboratory, University of Hannover, where he works as research
scientist. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. with research focused on
stereo vision. Additionally, starting 2004, he is working for the
press office of the
Deutsche Messe
AG as scientific advisor for the computer fair
CeBIT.
He is member of the
IEEE since 2000. From spring 2003 to spring 2006
he was elected as chairman of the IEEE student branch Hannover.
