Erik Soltow studied Computational Life Science (Mathematik in Medizin und Lebenswissenschaften) at the Universität zu Lübeck and concentrated on image and signal processing. His master's thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute MEVIS in Bremen dealt with the segmentation of complex liver lesions using object based image analysis.
He received his Master of Science in December 2012 and is working at the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung (TNT) at the Leibniz Universität Hannover since February 2013.
His current research focus lies on bio-medical image analysis and includes image segmentation, calibration and pose estimation using X-ray images.
