Christopher Gebauer studied mechanical engineering at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen with the focus on simulation technology. His master's thesis "Autonomous Object Tracking by Controlling an UAV using a Visual Servoing Approach" dealt with controlling an UAV using a local RGB image. He received his master's degree in March 2019.

In 2019-2021 he had been working at the University of Bonn as a research assistant in the context of robot navigtion. Since October 2021 he has been working towards a PhD degree at the Institut für Informationsverarbeitung (TNT) at Leibniz University Hannover. His current reasearch interests are in the field of machine learning for automatic speech recognition of children's speech.
